ERBIL - The Syrian Kurdish Council has condemned the postponement of tomorrow's opposition conference in Cairo, which was rescheduled for an unspecified date.
Secretary of the Kurdish Progressive Party of Syria Abdel-Hamid Darwish said: "We had high hopes in this important conference to unite the Syrian opposition and Kurds in particular, which was under the supervision of the Arab League.
"We want our issues to be resolved under the umbrella of the Arab League, not any other umbrella," Darwish added.
Divisions in the Syrian National Council and the withdrawal of most of its members are reasons for the postponement of the conference, said Darwish.
"We'll meet with officials of the Arab League to find out the main reasons for the postponement, which leads to tension between the opposition," he added.
