A sugar factory will be set up in Aden by the Al-Amoudi Group of Companies, which signed the final contract with German BMA Company to import the equipment for the factory that will be established in the industrial area in the Aden Free Zone. 

Executive director of Al-Amoudi Group Othman al-Amoudi and vice chairman of BMA Company Mohsen Makinah signed the contract.  The production of the factory, which will cost $200 million, would reach 16,000 tons of sugar annually to cover local markets' needs and export to neighboring countries.  The factory would provide more than 580 jobs.
