majid inaugurates grand hyper at al khail mall
Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, recently opened the Grand Hyper at Al Khail Mall. The 45,000 square foot retail shopping outlet is situated in the densely populated Al Quoz residential area. Grand Hyper is the 16th retail initiative of the Regency Group, a multinational company with proven track record in retail and diversified business activities across the UAE and other countries. Al Khail Mall-Grand Hyper is strategically placed to ensure the best accessibility, where it is close to Shaikh Zayed Road, Emirates Road and Al Khail Road. It can accommodate more than 700 cars.
Spinneys set to open in Mamzar
Omniyat Properties and Spinneys, a leading Middle East supermarket retailer, have signed an agreement to open a Spinneys store at The Square, Mamzar.

The Square is located in the lush surroundings of Al Mamzar in Deira. The complex consists of seven low-rise residential towers which feature a mix of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments surrounded by 65,000 square feet of landscaped garden and water features, as well as stylish hotel apartments. Spanning a leasable area of 11,377 square feet, Spinneys at The Square will be located at a prominent entry point adjacent to the main mall entrance and overlooking the busy Cairo Road.
Jumbo opens store in Mirdif City Centre
Jumbo Electronics announced the official opening of their newest outlet in Mirdif City Centre yesterday. Peter McElwaine, CEO of Jumbo Electronics, Osamu Miura, managing director of Sony Gulf and J.P. Nambiar, Head of Retail for Jumbo Electronics were expected to inaugurate the store.
This store opening follows a very successful Dubai Shopping Festival for Jumbo which also marked the company's 15th year of sponsorship.
With a floor area of more than 5,000 square feet the Mirdif City Centre store will carry the full range of consumer electronics including LCD TVs, digital still cameras, handycams, laptops, mobile phones and MP3 players.
Philips to open offices in Lebanon
Royal Philips Electronics has announced the opening of their offices in the heart Beirut's downtown district, designed to become the new hub of Philips' expanding operations in the Levant.
The company has been operative in the region for more than 50 years through distributors.
The inauguration of the new head office was held under the patronage of Lebanese Prime Minister Sa'ad Al Hariri, and attended by Philips' Middle East area management, different business stakeholders and the media.
Homes r Us to hold sale at Arabian Centre
Celebrations abound at Homes r Us. The furniture and furnishings retailer has announced its first anniversary celebrations at the Arabian Centre mall located on Al Khawaneej Road in Mirdif.
The celebrations will include a discount of 25 per cent on sales of the entire range of home furniture, furnishings and accessories.
Mont Blanc launches personal code ink
