RIYADH: Alsalam Aircraft Company has been awarded for a second time a contract to provide C-130 technical support services to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).
The contract, valued at SR545 million, has a period of performance of five years from April 1, 2011, to March 30, 2016. Within the contract, Alsalam will provide skilled manpower to support and train the RSAF to maintain the RSAF fleet inside and outside the Kingdom.
Alsalam won and undertook the first C-130 contract for three years from 2008 to 2011. The RSAF and Alsalam Aircraft Company have had a solid working relationship since 1989. Since then Alsalam has provided technical support and Programmed Depot Maintenance to various RSAF fleets.
Having won the C-130 contract Alsalam Aircraft Company is looking to open more career opportunities for Saudis and to continue its plans of attracting and hiring Saudis in the aviation industry. Currently, the company employs over 2,700 people nationwide engaging in both civil and military programs and has achieved a Saudization rate of over 52 percent.
