MUSCAT -- Omantel has reported a 39 per cent jump in its net profit for the year ended December 31, 2007 at RO112 million compared to RO80.7 million recorded in 2006. Revenues for the year stood at RO365.3 million as against RO323.6 million in 2006, an increase of 13 per cent. Operating expenses amounted to RO240.1 million, with an increase of four per cent as compared to RO230 million in the preceding year. These figures, Omantel said, are subject to the approval of the board of directors.

Oman National Live Stock Development Company has reported a reduced net loss of RO682,472 (provisional and unaudited) for the year ended December 31, 2007 compared to a net loss of RO728,755 in the previous year.

Al Ahlia Detergent Company has announced a net loss of RO874,809 (provisional and unaudited) for the years 2007 as against a net profit of RO77,279 in 2006.

National Packaging Factory has reported a net profit of RO175,660 in 2007 compared to RO125,929 in 2006.

National Mineral Water Company has announced its unaudited working results for the year 2007. The parent company has made a net profit of RO387,633 as against RO57,265. The group net profit stood at RO150,581 as against RO57,265.
