Top Emiratisation award confirms NBAD position as employer of choice

Plans to hire 100 UAE nationals in 2015

Abu Dhabi, Sharjah February 11th, 2015- the  National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) Today received the Human Resources Development Award in the UAE's banking sector in recognition for its outstanding human resources policies and development initiatives.H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, presented the award to Ehab Hassan, Senior Managing Director & Group Chief Human Resources Officer at NBAD at the National Career Exhibition for the Banking and Financial Sector.

Human Resources Development Award, the most prestigious UAE Emiratisation Award for organisations in banking and financial sector, has been developed by the National Human Resources Development Committee in the banking sector, which is run by the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS).  It shows that NBAD has successfully met the criteria set by the award organisers in key areas including Emiritisation, development and training, career planning, communication processes, recruiting effectiveness and internship programmes.

As part of its Emiratisation drive, NBAD launched several initiatives to develop and maximise the potential of UAE Nationals.

Recently, NBAD launched "Falkom Tayeb" initiative and hired 118 UAE nationals to serve the bank's clients in its branches and offices across the UAE.

In 2012, NBAD has launched a contact center in Al Ain, which is managed and staffed entirely by Emirati women. The contact center is an example of NBAD's contributions in providing job opportunities for UAE nationals particularly females.

"NBAD Emiratisation strategy goes beyond simply hiring people. We select young job seekers, and offer them dynamic training programmes on banking, customer service, and communication skills. We equip our new recruits with the knowledge and skills required to serve the UAE and help NBAD achieve its vision to be the World's Best Arab Bank,"said Amani Al Khaldi, the Head of Emiratisation at NBAD.
