A distributor of a German-engineered cleaning system; a newborn baby products provider; an afterschool activity search engine; a bespoke photobook designer;  and an online video consultancy are amongst the next cadre of entrepreneurs hoping to rise to the top of their industries with the help of Impact Hub Dubai (www.impacthub.ae) and Mompreneurs Middle East (www.mompreneurs.me).

These and up to ten more UAE SMEs and start-ups will participate in an eight-week program, dubbed 'Entrpreneur Rising', beginning on February 4, 2015 (http://mompreneurs.me/er).

Here they will learn from each other and from experts in the fields of finance, law and marketing with the aim of accelerating their business over the complex hurdles of contemporary commerce. It concludes in a competitive pitch event, judged by venture capitalists and successful entrepreneurs, with valuable prizes including advertising airtime on a leading UAE radio station.

The participating companies will hope to emulate the success of iSolar Worx founder, Ali Abdel Hafiz, who 'won' the finale pitch competition from the first round of Entrepreneur Rising which concluded December.

Entrepreneur Rising provides credible evidence for an entrepreneur's business concept and ability to realise their vision. It can also support recruiting business partners and investors. Entrepreneur Rising judge, Chantalle Dumonceaux, Co-founder of WOMENA, explained: "I was happy to see that the entrepreneurs understood the investor side of the process and I believe they will be more successful at pitching later on."

The Impact Hub Dubai (www.impacthub.ae) is part of a global entrepreneur network which has more than 70 locations worldwide and a network of more than 16,000 'Hubsters'. Impact Hub Dubai is the first in the Arab world and was founded in 2014. Today it hosts over 100 Hubsters who are using the Hub to incubate and grow their business.

Aman Merchant, CEO and Co-Founder at Impact Hub Dubai said: "The Entrepreneur Rising program exposes early stage entrepreneurs to a wide spectrum of subjects they need to consider prior to fund-raising, and provides them with the key tools necessary to improve their business performance. The diversity of the businesses that enrol in the program provides all participants with the opportunity to identify new business opportunities and to find support to accelerate their business. It also provides additional assurance to potential investors or prospective employees that the entrepreneur is committed to developing a successful business offering and has the skills and vision to achieve their plans."

Mona Tavassoli, Founder of Mompreneurs Middle East said: "We are very happy with the outcome of the first Entrepreneur Rising course and the feedback that we received from the participants.  It is part of our vision to increase our support and services to female entrepreneurs in the region and offering accessible and affordable training was in our agenda. We are very pleased to have partnered with Impact Hub Dubai as we share a similar vision to support the community. We have included even more sessions in the second round of Entrepreneur Rising based on the feedback that we received. The course offers all the essential requirements that any start-up may need to take their business idea to the next level, such as Finance, Marketing, Company Culture, Networking and introducing them to potential investors and partners."
