• High profile delegation of 150 German government and diplomatic representatives discuss future cooperation between Germany and Qatar

Doha - H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani at his museum in Al Shahaniyahhosteda German delegation of 150 high-profile personalities led by H.E. Sigmar Gabriel, Germany's Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy; Dr. Peter Göpfrich, CEO of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce;Jürgen Friedrich, CEO of Germany Trade and Invest Agency and Luka Mucic, Chief Financial Officer of SAP AG.

Welcoming the delegation at the museum was H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber; H. E. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Germany; H.E. Angelika Renate Storz-Chakarji, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the State of Qatar, MR. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al Aqeel, Secretary General of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) and H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani.

The German Vice Chancellor was offered a detailed description of the museum, which is considered one of Qatar's most notable heritage centres due to its eclectic collection that ranges from cultural and heritage artefacts hailing from different parts of the world, civilisations and historical eras, to sea and Bedouin cultures in Qatar and the Arabian Gulf, as well as a unique selection of rare classic cars.

The dinner was attended by key Qatari and German business leaders and was a unique opportunity for the two parties to discuss future cooperation across a variety of business areas and ways of supporting and developing these to serve the two countries' mutual goals.

At the end of the visit, the German delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation of H.E. Sheikh Faisal and the museum's management and curators for their generous hospitality, wishing them success in their upcoming projects.
