GBI committed to enhance the customer experience in the Middle East

October 6, 2015, DUBAI: GBI, a global service provider that owns and operates a multilayer carrier neutral network connecting the world to the Middle East, has established a new partnership with the London Internet Exchange (LINX). GBI has joined the LINX community in London after signing a partnership agreement.

Speaking on the occasion of the agreement, Amr Eid, Chief Commercial Officer of GBI, said: "This agreement complements GBI's strategic direction and network transformation from capacity-based to enterprise, value-added services and the cloud. It also reaffirms our commitment to continuously enhance the partner and customer experience."

Jennifer Holmes, Business Development Manager of LINX is pleased to have GBI on board. "It was really important to have met with GBI this week and confirm them as our newest member. These partnerships strengthen our position in the Middle East and Asia in particular and we are looking forward to growing our interconnections and traffic from this area. As global traffic continues to grow, peering becomes an integral part of any network provider's services." She added, "Delivering traffic from this region to London gives GBI's customers faster, more resilient services and further benefits both our organisations. LINX membership just keeps getting better and better!"

GBI will become one of over 640 LINX members, from 65 countries, who are benefiting from access to direct routes from a large number of diverse international peering partners, improving resilience and reducing latency. GBI are seeking to work even closer with LINX in the near future by becoming an official ConneXions Partner and reseller. This will enable them to pass on the benefits of LINX membership to their customers. LINX and GBI will be exhibitors at Capacity Europe in Paris (November 2-4).
