A total of 15 post offices were awarded the four-star rating, while another 22 post offices obtained the three-star rating, according to results announced on Wednesday. The one-of-its-kind project aims to raise the efficiency levels of federal government services, and bring them on par with highest international standards through a rating system that awards 2 to 7 stars for overall customer satisfaction levels.

The post offices that got the 4-star rating are:  Khalifa Post Office,  Al Rahba Post Office, Tourist Club Post Office, Hamdan Post Office and Musaffah Post Office in Abu Dhabi; Al Mussallah Post Office, Jebel Ali Post Office, Abu Hail Post Office and  Rashidiya Post Office in Dubai; Kalba Post Office and Al Dhaid Post Office in Sharjah;  Nakheel Post Office and Al Jazira Al Hamra Post Office in Ras Al Khaimah;  Dibba Al Fujairah Post Office in Fujairah and Al Yahar Post Office in Al Ain.

The 22 post offices that won the three-star rating are located across the country and offer high standards of service to customers.

Commenting on the ratings, Acting CEO of EPG, Mr. Fahad Al Hosani, said the honour bestowed on the 37 post offices through the four-star and three-star ratings would motivate them to strive harder towards higher standards as well as challenge other post offices to better their standards, as the Group pursues its developmental goals and elevates its customer service standards.

Mr. Al Hosani added that the Group's strategy is to follow the guidance of the wise leadership of the UAE to make government service channels centers of excellence, innovation and courtesy, offering the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

The UAE is only country in the world that rates its service centres on the lines of the star-rating system for hotels.  Government service centres serve over 30 million customers per year and process over 150 million applications. The rating exercise for all service centres has been hailed as the beginning of a new phase of quality development in the UAE.
