Dubai Business Events and partners showcase offering in Barcelona

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai Business Events (DBE), Dubai's official convention bureau, attended IBTM World in Barcelona, a leading global events industry exhibition. The exhibition enabled Dubai to showcase its wide world class meetings, incentives, conferences and events capabilities, as well as share its ambition to be recognised as a knowledge hub.

Currently home to over 50 percent of the Middle East's business events, DBE is constantly working to promote the city as a global business event destination through participation at events such as IBTM World.

At IBTM World this year the exhibition brought 15,000 meetings professionals including 4,000 international hosted buyers.  Dubai's exhibition standfeatured 30 partners, such as Dubai World Trade Centre, Emirates Airline, Hotels and Destination Management Companies, demonstrating an eclectic array of partners and also the diversity ofDubai's unique venues and incentives to a global event audience.Over the course of the exhibition, DBE and the co-exhibitors on the Dubai Stand conducted over 600 one to one meetings with trade professionals. In addition DBE also conducted destination presentations showcasing the dynamic events offering available in Dubai to over 100 hosted buyers and hosted a dinner with co-exhibitors where they engaged industry organizers and trade media.

Events such as IBTM World enable us to reach key marketsand further our efforts to build a globally competitive events industry in Dubai."

The team from Dubai were pleased to welcome H.E. Dr.Hessa Abdullah Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to Spain and H.E. Salem Rashid Al Owais, UAE Consul-General in Barcelona, who paid a visit to the stand during the exhibition.

The next activity DBE will be organising will be thekey industries event forthe Professional Convention Management Association's (PCMA) Dubai Meetings Forum, being hosted from December 6-7, 2015.This event will seeDubai welcoming more than 20 global meeting planners on this educational study mission.
