Billionaire Donald Trump shared his tips for success with UAE business leaders yesterday - telling them that his achievements stem from loving what he does.

Trump was speaking via video link from New York to delegates at a conference at Dubai World Trade Centre, where he said "amazing" projects such as the Burj Khalifa, the Palm Jumeirah and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi continue to make the UAE "an important player in the emerging world."

Indeed Trump - whose own plans for a Trump hotel on the Palm Jumeirah bit the dust due to the effects of the financial crisis - said he is "jealous" of the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building.

Trump told the facility management event: "I always stress that you have to love what you're doing. If you haven't got love for what you're doing - get up and leave."

He went on to add: "Succeed. Be the best. A lot of success is common sense. Some people have it, some people don't." It was hair-raising stuff from Trump, who has denied he wears a wig. He told budding Dubai property entrepreneurs that hard work was essential if you wanted to make mega bucks.

"I love working. Working is what I do. I hate vacations - so I don't do vacations anymore," the star of 'The Apprentice' told his audience.
