Al Tayer ?to promote disneyland within gcc
Dubai Starting next April 6, Al Tayer Travel Agency will become a distributor of Disneyland Paris in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). During his recent visit to Dubai in October, Norbert Stiekema, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Distribution at Disneyland Paris, met with Manu Mehrotra, General Manager of Al Tayer Travel Agency. They discussed the modalities of this new collaboration.

Danat completes Sands’ first phase
Dubai Danat Hotels and Resorts, operators of the Sands Hotel has completed the first phase of renovation and modernisation of the Sands Hotel in downtown Abu Dhabi. The Dh30 million investment is expected to benefit the hotel to meet requirements of tourists, visitors and residents, and to provide comfort and luxury. Danat Hotels and Resorts, a subsidiary of the National Tourism Corporation for Hotels, said the first phase included the renovation of the exterior of the building and the main lobby.

Emirates NBD adds Emicool to pay list
Dubai Emirates NBD, the UAE’s biggest lender, said Emirates District Cooling Company (Emicool) is the latest addition to its growing list of payment partners for customers who prefer online banking. Emicool is a supplier of chilled water for district cooling systems in residential, commercial and industrial development projects. The addition of Emicool brings the bank’s total number of Emirates NBD’s online payment partners to 26.

Etisalat to take part in Interpol meet
Dubai Etisalat announced its participation in Interpol’s third Group of Experts Meeting on IT Crime — Mena region, an event organised by Dubai Police. The event aims to enhance collaboration efforts and procedures among the region’s law enforcement organisations and Interpol members in the Mena region. The two-day conference is hosted for the first time by the General Department of the Criminal Investigation of Dubai Police, in cooperation with the Dubai Police Academy.

New Aster centre opened in Dubai
Dubai Dr Ahmad Al Hashemi, Director of the Dubai Medical Area, Ministry of Health, UAE, inaugurated the 37th Aster Medical Centre while Khalid Al Awadi, Partner Development Manager, Dubai Media City, inaugurated the 79th Aster Pharmacy of DM Healthcare in Dubai at Tecom-3, Al Barsha, in the presence of Dr Azad Moopen, Chairman, DM Healthcare. The centre aims to improve access to good health to residents of Al Barsha and Tecom Communities and neighbouring residential areas.
