Aims to support the Islamic Banking Industry

Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) announced its Gold Sponsorship for AAOIFI’s and World Bank’s 12th annual conference for Islamic Banking and Finance which already convened in Diplomat Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the period 5 – 6 November 2017 under the auspices of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and organized by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).

In this occasion, Mr. Hassan Amin Jarrar BisB CEO stated: "we are pleased to participate in this prestigious conference which brings under its umbrella senior Sharia scholars and experts in the field of Islamic Banking & stressed the important role played by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) in preparing the Sharia Accounting Standards and helping Islamic Banks in conducting their business".

Mr. Jarrar added: "the conference will cover many important subjects, such as: the application of technical standards in the Islamic financial industry - assessing the reality and outlook of the future, the vision and evaluation of senior bankers on the standardization of industry and its impact on its qualitative growth, the unification of the Islamic legal reference of the Islamic financial industry at the international level, the development of the regulatory framework Supervision and highlighted the challenges of the Islamic financial industry in the newly joined markets for industry, trust rating and Shariah compliance".

Mr. Hassan Jarrar concludes his statement:" we wish for the conference & participant's success & improvement".

It has to be pointed out here that BisB has used to participate, on an ongoing basis, in all the events and programs organized in the Kingdom of Bahrain by AAOIFI. This stance from the Bank emanates from the importance it attaches to Sharia issues, legislations related to its investments, banking transactions, and new issues that arise in the banking sector in this respect.
