Abu Dhabi, Feb 15th, 2011 (WAM) -- The Department of Finance (DoF) - Abu Dhabi yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi company for public services, Musanada, in order to lay the foundations for cooperation between the two institutions and strengthen the partnership between various governmental entities.
The agreement establishes a legal and financial framework for cooperation between the Department of Finance and Musanada in the area of maintenance services, small businesses, office supplies, travel and hotel reservations. The MoU was signed at the Abu Dhabi headquarters of DoF by Mohamed Gnome Hamli, Executive Director of the Department of Finance, and Mohammad Khalifa Al Fahed Al Muhairi, CEO of Musanada. Under the MoU, "Musanada" will provide logistical support to the Department of Finance, including the Abu Dhabi Customs and its customs centers, in line with the directives of the Executive Council and the strategic plans of the DoF, with a focus on key working areas of the department. In the first phase, Musanada will also provide logistical support to DoF in building maintenance and facilities management. It includes preventive maintenance, in addition to providing emergency maintenance, small projects, office supplies, miscellaneous stationery, tickets and hotel booking, as well as a number of other various advisory services. Mohammed Gnome Hamli said: "Through this MoU, the Department of Finance seeks to lay the foundations of the partnership and future cooperation between the two parties, as well as build a long-term relationship that contributes to providing maintenance services for buildings and government facilities owned or operated by the Department. This step aims to strengthen the position and the role of the Department of Finance, as well as help it achieve its vision and translate its mission and functions."Mohammad Khalifa Al Fahed Al Muhairi, CEO of Musanada, said: "This agreement, which sets a premium example of the Musanada partnership with government counterparts, is a testament to Musanadas mandate of providing government entities across the Capital with enhanced services that enable them to provide people of Abu Dhabi with better, faster and smoother services." He added: "By offering a range of service to the Department of Finance across its three core competencies of building services, information technology services and building support services, Musanada will help DoF drive its business objectives while implementing world-class and state-of-the-art solutions and services instrumental to optimize operations at various aspects."The MoU also states that in the future, the Department will benefit/avail any other services provided by Musanada, which includes information services, project management among others. This MoU was completed through the hard work and constant cooperation between two specialized working team from both organizations.
