Abu Dhabi - Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company's General Assembly has elected the following new members to its Board of Directors:
- Shaikh Mohammed Bin Saif Al-Nahyan
- Shaikh Theyab Bin Tahnoon Al-Nahyan
- H.E. Sultan Rashed Al-Dhaheri
- Mr. Abdulla Khalaf Al-Otaiba
- Mr. Omar Liaqat
- Mr. Jamal Sultan Al-Hameli
- Mr. Abdulrahman Hamad Al-Mubarak
- Mr. Hazzaa Mohamed Al-Mheiri
- Mr. Humooda Ghanim Al-Dhaheri
Following the General Assembly meeting, the Board of Directors has elected Shaikh Mohamed Bin Saif Al-Nahyan as the new Chairman of the Board and Shaikh Theyab Bin Tahnoon Al-Nahyan as the Vice Chairman.
The Annual General Assembly has further approved the Financial Statements for the Financial Year ended 31 December 2015.
Commenting on the Annual General Assembly, H.E. Khalifa Al Kindi stated: "I wish to thank the Members of the Board for their support and the Company's Management and employees for their efforts over the past year. Despite a challenging 2015, ADNIC continued to make progress on various fronts. The Board of Directors supports the Management Team's drive to return the company to its traditional levels of profitability and optimizing shareholder value."
Ahmad Idris, CEO of ADNIC, said: "I would like to thank the Board Members for their continuous support and guidance. 2015 was a challenging year for the entire industry. In 2016 ADNIC will continue to pursue rigorously its selective underwriting strategy and to focus on superior services. The issuance of Mandatory Convertible Bonds in the amount of AED390m will further improve ADNIC's strong capital base and financial security."
