Challenge of discovering reliable service providers solved with new mobile application

Manama, Bahrain: Groundbreaking social app Favorey have announced their expansion into the Middle East market, lead by renowned local entrepreneur and business adviser Mohammed Al Fardan.

Less than six months after their launch in the UK, the Favorey team have made the Middle East market their number one priority for expansion, due to the extraordinary size of market opportunity and the local appreciation of the power of personal connections.

The Favorey mobile application, which uses the power of social recommendations to solve the challenge of finding a trustworthy new service provider, will now be available to the public, to businesses and to local partners across the region.

By using the Favorey app, people in the Middle East who need help or services, will now be able to get a direct introduction to trusted providers that their friends and family endorse.

Favorey users can request services, receive offers, negotiate terms and transfer funds all from within the mobile application. So people who are desperate for a new dog groomer or craving a key cutter can now easily receive recommendations from people whose opinions they trust.

Speaking about the move into the Middle East market, Favorey Executive Vice President Mohammed Al Fardan said: “ There’s no single market in the world that values the power of personal connections as much as the Middle East. Together people regularly solve life challenges by connecting with new service providers who are recommended by friends.

“Favorey takes this invaluable model and elevates it to the next level by putting it onto a mobile app. We prefer dealing with people we can trust , because they’ve been recommended . But what if you could just tap right into a wider network of ‘can do’ trusted people ? It’s often said we’re only six degrees of separation from anyone on the planet. We thought, why can’t six degrees of separation become one network of cooperation?”

The Favorey app is enabled for the MENA market and available from the App Store and on Google Play so anyone from the region can now create an account, ask a favour or help others find things that they need.

The Favorey Middle East team are also bringing on board local partners and investors who are keen to capitalise on the exciting opportunity available. Anyone who would like to be involved with the promotion of Favorey in their local area should contact Mohammed Al Fardan.

Speaking about the Favorey application, CEO Kabir Ahmed said: “ We are a bunch of women and men from different backgrounds and locations who spotted a gap in what the existing social media platforms and marketplaces offered.

“We have noticed that people find it difficult to source new trusted service providers and frequently call on friends for advice and introductions. We wanted to solve that problem by harnessing the power of social to bring together people who need stuff with people who can help.”

The Favorey team started building the app in stealth-mode in June 2016 and launched in London, UK in June 2017. The business headquarters are in London, with the application development team in Spain. There are 38 staff.
