· Bank Sohar introduces specialised SME brand Aafaq Al Najah
Muscat | In its pursuit to provide Banking excellence to the SME sector, Bank Sohar introduces Aafaq Al Najah, a specialised brand for SME services and accounts. In line with the Government’s pledge to the SME sector, Aafaq al Najah represents a further step in the Bank’s commitment to SME development.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Mustafa Ali Mukhtar, DGM and Acting Head of Wholesale Banking noted, “Small and medium sized businesses are a vibrant and growing sector within the economy. This sector is expected to play a significant role in realising the Nation’s economic diversification goals while helping to create sustainable jobs and generate new opportunities for young Omanis. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce Aafaq Al Najah, a dedicated brand for small and medium enterprises in the Sultanate in the form of specialised services tailored to the needs of their growing businesses. Bank Sohar’s commitment to the SME sector is clearly evident through the Bank’s set up of a dedicated department responsible for providing SMEs with financial services. The exclusive unit has been set up conveniently in Azaiba at Abraj Al Sahwa near the industrial area in Ghala for easy client accessibility and convenience as well as to better facilitate senior level interaction by the Relationship Managers at the clients’ locations. The Department plays an essential role in supporting upcoming and newly established businesses in varying fields. In order to further support such companies, the Bank has also implemented a policy that not only facilitates an easy approval system with a high delegation of authority; it also offers attractive interest rates, easy terms and conditions and quick turnaround times.
