BBAC (Bank of Beirut and the Arab Countries) announced the relocation of its Limassol-Cyprus branch to a new bigger and more advanced bank-owned building, as a part of the bank's expansion strategy, which aims to improve services and extend the bank's network, while choosing prime locations to meet the growing needs of its clientele and to serve them optimally.

The branch was moved to an extremely spacious new building with a modern and unique design, in order to expand services and products and to serve the largest number of customers in a private and comfortable atmosphere, according to the highest level of delicate service. The relocated branch was provided with all modern facilities in accordance with the development plan implemented by the bank, which aims to upgrade all its branches in order to give customers a more distinctive banking experience.

BBAC's Chairman and General Manager Sheikh Ghassan Assaf stressed on the importance of the bank's continued investment in the Cypriot economy, which is symbolized by the re-opening of the main branch in a state-of-the-art building. He commented saying: "Our presence in Cyprus goes back to more than 25 years and we see that the current difficult financial and economic situation will not prevent the Cypriot economy from getting back on track, especially with the continuous influx of tourists, as well as the constant evolution of the oil and gas industry."

He added: "What matters to us the most as a Lebanese bank is that we see that Cyprus is a special location for Lebanese companies and Lebanese expatriates who are always looking for the safety provided by Cyprus, being the closest point in Europe to the Lebanese shores." He added: "We have paid special attention to the expansion and development of our bank's main branch in Cyprus hoping that this step would be a promising new start, and to prove that we have big aspirations for Cyprus. We at BBAC hope for the continued progress of our business on the island and its economic future."

BBAC reaffirms its commitment to continue to develop and expand its branch network domestically and regionally. The bank's domestic network is comprised of 39 branches dispersed throughout various Lebanese regions, with the opening of the latest branch in Hazmieh. BBAC also plans to inaugurate new branches in the near future. Regionally, along with its Cyprus branch, BBAC is preparing for the opening of two new branches in Basra and Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, in addition to its existing branches in Erbil and Baghdad.
