Dubai Airports and Landmark Group win key awards against global competition in San Francisco

Dubai, United Arab Emirates– 9 October 2016: The United Arab Emirates further strengthened its reputation as a global hub for innovation, as leading local companies; Dubai Airports and Landmark Group bagged top honours at Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco for implementing next generation IT innovations. 

Dubai Airports, which serves more international passengers than any other airport in the world, has received an Oracle Excellence Award for cloud innovation in the ‘integration’ category. Dubai Airports won this award for completing a complex integration with Fusion HCM to enable mobile application extensions for performance management, recruitment, onboarding and core HR and self-service. With this implementation, Dubai Airports now enjoys IT flexibility with governance policies and freedom to connect to multiple cloud solutions with ease.

Kirit Shah, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Landmark Group, one of the largest retail conglomerates across the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent was distinguished as the CIO of the Year at the Oracle Excellence Awards. Kirit was recognized among more than 70 nominations from across the globe and received the award from Safra A. Catz, Chief Executive Officer of Oracle for having displayed unparalleled performance and vision.

Kirit has been at the forefront of adopting best business practices and establishing a technological platform that is scalable and supports Landmark’s aggressive growth plan and management vision.
