Dubai, UAE - His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) said the authority has achieved significant strides to develop treatment systems abroad and strengthen its relationship’s with international health organizations to provide quality medical services to patients getting treatment abroad.

Al Qatami said the authority has completed the new procedures and policies for DHA patients seeking treatment abroad making the medical and administration process simpler and achievable.

The authority has also completed procedures to electronically link the authority’s offices in Dubai with the offices in London, Munich and Bonn, to better document all procedures based on international standards that are being implemented by the Salama electronic medical record.

Al Qatami also pointed out that the authority is working hard to broaden its relationship with health organizations abroad, to benefit DHA patients seeking treatment abroad and make their experience as smooth as possible.

Al Qatami had recently concluded a tour in the authority’s offices in London, Munich and Bonn where he met with officials and diplomats in the UAE’s Embassy in the UK and Germany, thanking them on the behalf of the authority for their efforts in easing the treatment process of DHA patients in their respective countries.

Al Qatami visited the patients in the hospitals abroad and listened to their experience to make sure that they are receiving all the treatment they need. 

He also met with the doctors overseeing the patients stressing that the authority will be providing any support needed to ensure that the patients go back to the UAE in good health.

During his meeting with the managers of the offices abroad, Al Qatami was familiarized with some of the challenges and solutions that the DHA offices abroad may face.

He concluded his visit by calling on the DHA centers abroad to exert all effort to achieving customer satisfaction adding that the authority will support all their efforts in doing so.
