Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance has achieved a 60 percent Saudization rate for both its male and female employees.

“This high rate of Saudization is in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to increase Saudi employment in the country. It is also parallel to Vision 2030 that aims to increase national productivity and hasten the development of the economy, creating new job opportunities for Saudi citizens,” a press release said.

Bupa Arabia said it attracts young Saudi men and women to join the various departments in the company by providing the best working environment for its employees.

Tariq Al-Amoudi, chief human resources officer at Bupa Arabia, said: “We offer many specialized scientific courses and intensive training programs for our employees. We also provide them with the best knowledge and experience that helps them deliver the best service to our customers. We at Bupa Arabia constantly support the recruitment of Saudi men and women and attract the most qualified national cadres. Our Saudization rate has gone up to 60 percent; our employees work in an ideal and stimulating environment that allows them to practice their work with the utmost comfort and proficiency.”

Bupa Arabia said it seeks to keep pace with Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020 to support the strategic goals of the Saudi government, which include localizing jobs and attracting citizens to join companies in the private sector.

The Saudi government along with the private sector has launched ambitious programs and targeted initiatives to attract Saudi youth, employ new graduates and people with disabilities. One of these programs is the Qaderoon & Dulani Business Development Center.

The government has also taken steps to encourage the employment of Saudi women, such as creating a comfortable working environment, providing transportation, allocating flexible working hours and increasing the number of days of maternity leave.
