Kuwait: Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its participation – for the second time running - in the fourth Kuwait Oil and Gas Show and Conference (KOGS 2019) organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Informa Markets with official support from the Kuwait Ministry of Oil and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and subsidiaries. The event, held at Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Center (JACC) and Kuwait International Fair in Mishref between 13 – 16 October, comes under the patronage of H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah.

The opening ceremony witnessed the attendance of several prominent figures, led by H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, H.E. Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricity and Water Dr. Khalid Al Fadhil, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Hashem Hashem, Chief Executive Officer of Zain Kuwait Eaman Al Roudhan, Zain Kuwait’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer Hamad Al Marzouq, as well as a number of experts, professionals, and leaders of the regional and international oil, gas, and energy industries.

Zain’s presence in this event for the second time running comes in line with its core objectives that aim at shouldering the advancement of the community as a whole on all levels, where the company reaffirms the principal of partnership through similar efforts with the aim of contributing to the further progress of national economy, being a national leading player in the Kuwaiti private sector.

Zain took the opportunity to provide high-speed Wi-Fi to cover all parts of the exhibition, which over 6000 attendees and over 180 exhibitors from over 30 countries benefit from throughout a period of four days. KOGS participants will benefit from a reliable, high-speed, and secure connection to access the Internet and other applications, as Zain was keen on providing free Wi-Fi in all of the exhibition’s areas, being the leading digital service provider in the country.

Zain is also present at the exhibition through its own dedicated booth, where the company showcases a number of its “Zain Business” services and solutions for corporate customers attending the exhibition, particularly those presented to the oil & gas industries. The solutions being showcased include NXN and Microsoft’s analytics solutions using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), NXN’s Smart District & Smart City Solutions, and Nokia’s training and inspection solutions using Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).

Zain’s solutions also feature Huawei’s 5G Robot for remote firefighting and gas leak control solutions, Zain Drone services for oil & gas infrastructure digital inspections using drones, VSaaS (video surveillance as a service), LASILKI - a reliable and secured wireless Push-to-talk service (PTT) over 4G LTE technology, with Zain’s fast speed and nationwide coverage, as well as superfast and secure Express Route solutions in collaboration with Microsoft, Oracle, and Amazon.

The fourth Kuwait Oil and Gas Show and Conference (KOGS), organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), serves all areas of the oil and gas industry; including petroleum geosciences, exploration and production, refining, and petrochemical products and services. The parallel 4-day multi-disciplinary conference program focuses on science and engineering factors facing those working in Kuwait and the region. Together, the conference and exhibition combine to form the single biggest gathering of the oil and gas industry ever seen in Kuwait.
