Al Zahia announced on Tuesday that it has broken ground on its Al Yasmeen neighbourhood, moving its Al Zahia master development in Sharjah closer to its 2023 completion.

The developer, which is a joint venture between Majid Al Futtaim Properties and Sharjah Asset Management, said in a press statement that the neighbourhood would comprise of more than 200 two and three-bedroom villas and townhouses, and be completed in 2022.

It said that United Engineering Construction Co. (UNEC) will oversee the construction of Al Yasmeen.

The statement also noted that more than 800 homes in the Al Jouri and Al Narjis neighbourhoods have been handed while Al Lilac is currently under construction.

On completion, the entire Al Zahia development will include a total of 3,700 homes, the statement said.
