The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department and the Real Estate Sector Business Group in Sharjah announced the details for the launch of the sixth edition of the Acres 2019 real estate exhibition. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The announcement was made during a press conference held today, Wednesday, at the SCCI headquarters to unveil the details of the exhibition hosted by Expo Centre Sharjah from 19-21 March. HE Mohamed Ahmed Amin, Acting Director-General of the SCCI, H.E. Abdulaziz Rashid Al Saleh, Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department, HE Saeed Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Working Group, Fahad Al Khamiri, Director of Registration and Licensing Department at Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), Hamid Al-Kutbi, Director of Building Permits Department, Department of Planning and Surveying, Sharjah, Salem Ali Alghaithi, Manager of Sharjah TV & Radio, Khalifa Al Shaibani, Director General of Tilal Properties, Sultan Shattaf, Director of Business Development and Marketing at Expo Centre Sharjah, attended the conference, as well as representatives of official and private entities, media and sponsors of the exhibition, heads and directors of government departments of Sharjah and media representatives.

Acres 2019 is of the most important property exhibitions, which aims to benefit from the boom in the real estate market and to learn about the latest developments in the real estate sector in the UAE, the Gulf and the world. The exhibition gives additional impetus to the real estate sector, increases its activity and highlights the urban development witnessed by Sharjah and the abundant investment opportunities in this vital sector, which is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UAE.

Promising Real Estate Opportunities

HE Mohamed Ahmed Amin, Acting Director-General of the SCCI, indicated that the Chamber was keen to organize the exhibition in its sixth edition in a unique and innovative way as a platform bringing together decision-makers, leading institutions, major investors in real estate, construction and property development, in addition to real estate brokers, banks, financial institutions, engineering design companies, landlords, and engineering services and project management companies. The exhibition will also host a group of experts and specialists, to learn about the latest developments in the real estate market in Sharjah, and the promising opportunities in light of the achievements of the Exhibition in its previous editions.

Real Estate Market Development

H.E. Abdulaziz Rashid Al Saleh, Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department, stressed the importance of the exhibition to activate the real estate investment ecosystem in all fields. Al Saleh affirmed that such exhibitions contribute to showcase the projects of real estate developers and represent a forum for all parties in the real estate market to exchange views and suggestions; which in turn leads to the development of the real estate market. Al Saleh added that the exhibition provides an opportunity for investors and individuals to look for property units suitable in the Emirate of Sharjah, to see the real estate projects being promoted at the exhibition, to know their rights guaranteed by the real estate legislations and laws in the Emirate of Sharjah and through the Real Estate Registration Department. “The exhibition offers an opportunity for the public to see the best government services provided by the department to the individuals”, Al Saleh concluded.

Good Opportunity

HE Saeed Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Working Group at the SCCI, indicated that Real Estate is one of the fastest growing sectors in UAE, which is reaping high dividends for the nation’s economy and representing a key milestone in the policy of economic diversification adopted by the government. Al Suwaidi added that the Emirate of Sharjah has been distinguished by providing a package of legislation and flexible incentives to investors thus, positioning itself as an attractive destination and a major investment hub in the GCC and the Middle East region. Al Suwaidi affirmed that the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Working Group is keen to represent the largest segment of real estate workers in the emirate, and to enhance the real estate gains in Sharjah and its contribution to the emirate's GDP, which supports the development plans.

Innovative Services

Hamid Al-Kutbi revealed that the Department of Planning and Surveying would display a number of innovative projects and services as part of its participation in the exhibition. “The projects includes the application system for developers, the guide to community service for real estate suppliers, the guide to design Juwaiza’a Suburb, the project of converting villas from residential to commercial and transaction collection packages”, Al-Kutbi added.

An Important Event

Khalifa Al Shaibani, Director General of Tilal Properties, praised the importance of the exhibition, which is witnessing a remarkable development in all aspects, both in terms of spaces, participating companies or organization. Al Shaibani stressed that Acres 2019 is an important event to exchange expertise and offer the best deals and real estate products, affirming that legislation and laws provide a safe and promising investment environment achieving balance, stability and gains to the real estate sector.

Acres 2019 provides an opportunity to learn about real estate developments in the Middle East and the UAE in particular. It offers a chance to meet with government officials responsible of developing strategic plans and legislation related to real estate in the UAE. It also provides opportunities to decision makers in the real estate sector, key developers and engineering consultants to get together under one roof to communicate, expand their networks, to identify the most important opportunities available and compare the different advantages offered by the different levels of real estate development projects. The exhibition will contribute to expanding knowledge of UAE and Middle East markets and exploring opportunities for cooperation with local investors in future projects.
