Dubai, United Arab Emirates: UK College of Business & Computing - Dubai Campus (UKCBC), one of London’s most reputed higher education colleges, signed a partnership agreement with British Council to become one of its test venues in Dubai International Academic City.

The college was inaugurated last year and had a very successful September 2018 intake. In UAE, UKCBC is the first Technical & Vocational Education and Training provider (TVET). The College offers vocational and professional qualifications in Business and Computing in addition to IELTS preparation courses, General English & ACCA tuition.

The College’s Director of Finance & Operations, Mr. Bhargav Busa, FCCA stated that “the partnership with British Council gives us tremendous confidence in the UAE market. Our modern campus and vibrant student atmosphere are the perfect place to host one of the most globally recognized exams such as IELTS.

Deep Adhikari, Deputy Regional Exams Manager, MENA for British Council said, “The partnership will open doors to more opportunities with access to IELTS Exams, both Paper Based and Computer Based to be conducted at UKCBC. It will increase convenience, mobility and choice for the test takers.

The college has 6 campuses in and around London including an English Language arm, UK College of English (UKCE), with more than 3000 overall student populations.

Commenting on the partnership, Neil Harvey, CEO of UK College of English said, “I am of course, delighted that the close collaboration between the British Council and ourselves in Dubai, that has now resulted in the creation of a new IELTS test venue in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), reflects our overall ethos of bringing the private and public sector ever closer together to deliver programmes and services to students globally. That same closeness has been there even since Sir Ciarán Devane did us the honour of opening our Oxford Street teaching centre in London, United Kingdom.”

UKCBC is looking forward to welcoming students who wish to progress in their academic and professional careers with a globally recognized English language certificate such as IELTS.
