ArabFinance: UAE-based Al Nowais Investments plans to start operating the 500-megawatt wind farm in Egypt within three years, Al Borsa News reported on November 30th.

Al Nowais entered into negotiations with three international companies, including Siemens Gamesa and Vestas, to implement the project, the news portal added.

Bringing the energy development online will be carried out through stages, with the first phase scheduled to operate during the second half of 2023, according to sources.

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and Al Nowais signed a project agreement in 2019.
