Riyadh –  Saudi Arabia and the US are to launch the US-Saudi small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) Forum in a bid to boost bilateral trade between the two nations, sharing of know-how, and co-innovating solutions.

The forum, that will offer in-depth case study workshops with selected Saudi and US SMEs, is set to run during the period between 1 and 2 October at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE in California.

The two-day event will be launched under the auspice of state-run Saudi Aramco, the US Commercial Service, the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, and the US-Saudi Arabian Business Council, according to Saudi Gazette.

“Estimates show that SMEs comprise 90 percent of businesses in Saudi Arabia and account for 60 percent of total employment,” the US-Saudi Arabian Business Council’s CEO Edward Burton stated.
