RIYADH The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced the imminent entry of three major international companies operating in the postal and logistic services sector, especially parcel delivery services. Their entry into the Kingdom's market is expected to generate investments worth more than SR6 billion.

Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Postal and Logistic Services Eng. Khalid Al-Bakri said that the geographical location and the strong digital infrastructure Kingdom offers and the investment-friendly policies will make it a destination for major companies.

“The three companies coming to the Saudi market will have a clear impact on providing effective services and their entry will enhance the Kingdom’s position as a major player in the e-commerce market, as well as in contributing to the localization of supply chains.”

Al-Bakri said that the entry of foreign companies will strengthen service levels and contribute to improving the experience of customers.

He thanked the efforts of the partners in the Ministry of Investment, the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the transport and logistics services system, which resulted in this great achievement and that is in line with the goals of the ambitious Vision 2030.

Al-Bakri underlined the need for attracting more local and international investments and promoting the growth of all sectors, including the postal and logistic services sector.
