Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the number of certificates of origin for local products exported to the GCC and Arab countries issued during the first six months (H1) of 2019 reached 34,893.

It is an increase of 19.4% over 29,222 certificates of the same period of 2018.

Talal bin Hamoud Al Baloushi, Head of Commercial Licensing Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said: During the first half of this year, there were 32,330 certificates of origin for local products exported to Gulf countries issued, compared with 28,698 certificates of origin issued during the same period last year.

The number of certificates of origin for local products exported to Arab countries during the first six months of this year reached 2,563, compared with 524 certificates of origin issued during the same period of 2018. These certificates were issued from various departments and directorates of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in various governorates of Oman.
