MANAMA: Ithmaar Bank, the operator of the largest Islamic retail banking network in Bahrain, has inaugurated its new main branch in Seef Mall, Seef District.

The new branch was inaugurated by Ithmaar Bank chief executive Ahmed Abdul Rahim in the presence of Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) executive director banking supervision Khalid Al Hamad, and CBB director of Islamic financial institutions supervision Fahad Yateem.

“As part of the far-reaching digital initiatives that we are implementing across the bank, we recognised that convenience, speed and security are among the most important elements and features that customers look for when conducting banking transactions,” said Mr Abdul Rahim.

“This is especially true with the increased customer reliance on technology, and we focused on responding to our customers’ demands by opening an integrated digital-led branch in Seef Mall,” he said.

Located near gate 10 in the mall, the branch features a fresh, new look and feel and advanced technologies in order to ensure an enhanced banking experience for customers.

This includes next-generation ATMs and other new digital solutions, the latest self-service banking to automate various services, including, instant printing of account statements and certificates, updating customer information, and instant printing of card statements.

In the future, more services such as instant issuance of debit cards and eCards, as well as a cash deposit machine will be added.
