Cairo – Mubasher: Farm Frites Egypt has invested more than $140 million in the North African nation, the company’s managing director Ahmed Seddiq revealed.

The potato products manufacturer has started its business in Egypt 30 years ago with Gulf and Dutch investments worth $2.5 million, Seddiq added in a video published by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation.

The company managed to export 50-60% of its products to the Middle East, Africa, and some European countries, he noted.

Last September, Farm Frites Egypt launched a new plant in 10th of Ramadan City with investments of about $40 million.

The new plant has an annual output capacity of 50,000 tonnes which will raise the company’s total capacity to 150,000 tonnes, Seddiq said.
