Egypt-based electro-mechanical contractor Energy and Contracting Solutions (ECS) expects to bag contracts worth 600 million Egyptian pounds ($38 million) in 2020, the company's Chairman and CEO told Zawya Projects.

Ossama Guenedy said the projects comprise of electrical and mechanical works in commercial buildings and hospitals but didn't elaborate.

He said ECS had supplied cooling towers for the central cooling plant in the ministries district in the new capital but declined to disclose the value.

Commenting on ongoing projects, he said ECS expects to complete a 150-million-pound ($9.5 million) contract for Shefaa Al Orman Hospital in Luxor by mid-2021, adding that the company is implementing electro-mechanical works of the same value for Alamein University and the entertainment area in Alamein city.

ECS has a 60 percent market share of gas air conditioning market in Egypt, according to Guenedy.
