Dammam Airports Company (DACO) is participating in the Dubai Airshow 2021 - until November 18 - along with other national entities from the Saudi civil aviation sector at the Dubai World Central International Airport.

Through its participation, DACO advances its projects related to building, developing, and improving services in its three airports, which include King Fahd International Airport, Al-Ahsa International Airport, and Hafr Al-Batin Airport in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom.

DACO's participation highlights the advantages of the Cargo Village, the first of its kind in the Kingdom that covers express freight services and provides solutions within the freight, warehouses area, and other logistics sites, which has emerged as a strong economic driver within the logistics sector.

In addition, the event provides an opportunity for DACO to engage with various civil aviation stakeholders and discuss the latest developments and challenges faced by the aviation industry in the region. The company also promotes its initiatives aimed at enhancing passenger experience and present investment opportunities across its airports.

CEO Fahad AlHarbi emphasised the importance of the Dubai Airshow as a platform to network and engage with stakeholders from the civil aviation sector and introduce the latest developments, innovations, technologies, and services in the field of aviation.

He also underlined the significance of the event in showcasing DACO projects and achievements in King Fahd International Airport. He mentioned that the airport has welcomed 4,418,362 passengers from the beginning of this year until October 2021.

AlHarbi said: Dubai Airshow 2021 enables us to present our latest projects and services that are part of our strategy to improve operations at King Fahd International Airport. We are also putting forward our initiatives aimed at providing an enjoyable travel experience and focus on investing in renewable energy sources.

DACOs Cargo Village provides integrated solutions for freight in one location according to the logistical concentration, allowing re-shipment of goods through land and air transport. It also offers competitive advantages, such as its location which is close to 61 per cent of the GCC countries and five capital cities.

Furthermore, the Cargo Village includes the logistics area, which is a key part of the solutions to provide a range of storage options within a total area of 500,000 square metres. The area covers 300,000 sq.m. dedicated to warehouses and storage facilities, and 200,000 sq.m. for services.
