Dubai: Sparkling crystal-studded sneakers, bring your own Remote Control (RC) competitions, football tournaments on Adidas’ inflatable floating pitch, and much, much more, #NoFilerDXB – a super trendy new festival celebrating Dubai’s enduring passion for urban lifestyle and motoring culture – is the best to be this weekend. Running at the all-new Dubai Harbour until November 27, here are five unmissable picks at #NoFilterDXB:
Swarovski Studded Nike Air Force One: Nike and Swarovski ‘paired up’ to create a limited-edition Nike Airforce One for women. The exclusive collection features the classic Air Force One sneaker studded with 228 Swarovski crystals priced at AED 2,249. The collection is due to officially launch on the UAE’s 50th National Day weekend, but it’s on exclusive display at the Mad Kicks stand at #NoFilterDXB.
Drift into this weekend at #NoFilterDXB: Red Bull Racing has set up a dedicated ‘drift zone’ where the region’s leading drift racers – including the Middle East’s first female drift racer, Noor Daoud – will burn rubber all weekend culminating in the region’s first tandem co-driver drift experience. #NoFilterDXB visitors can also bring their own RC racing cars to take part in the RC Knockoff - a one-off racing competition taking place on Friday at 3:30 PM – hosted by Hobby Sportz.
Goals ahoy on Adidas’ floating football pitch: The region’s first-ever floating football pitch by Adidas is hosting tournaments all weekend to find the country’s freshest footy talent. “There is no better place to introduce a new floating football pitch format than Dubai and #NoFilterDXB. This eclectic festival has expansive horizons which allow multiple brands to come together and put on a festival that one can experience only in Dubai,” said Conor Shiels, Head of Academy, Gulf United.
Motoring E-Sport Tournament: RaceRoom Middle East, the popular e-sport organiser, is hosting a motoring tournament at #NoFilterDXB to find the Middle East’s best e-sports racers. Dozens of contestants will battle it out in heats and quarterfinals on Thursday, semi-finals on Friday, and the grand final on Saturday. The winners will claim a prize pool of AED 20,000.
Conquer ‘board-em’ this weekend with the Hadean Electric Skateboard launch and Oakley pop-up Skatepark: For visitors eager to rip ramps, slide rails, and pump pipes, Oakley’s purpose-built skate park from Oakley is the place to be. Right next door, Evolve Skateboards will also launch a brand-new electric board launch by Hadean, which has an unbelievable top speed of 50 km/hour, which is far too fast for the ramps!
#NoFilterDXB will culminate in the Dubai Supercar Parade on Saturday at 8.30am. The Parade will see some of the world’s most sought-after supercars rolling through the streets of Dubai Harbour, JBR, and JLT, before returning to #NoFilterDXB for public viewing.
#NoFilterDXB runs from 24 - 27 November at Dubai Harbour. Tickets are priced from AED60 and are available at Platinum List. With public transport to and from Dubai Harbour highly recommended, Careem discounts can be availed via the promo code NOFILTERDXB.
