Dubai, United Arab Emirates: GHM/ECLATEC, a French company that has been producing lighting solutions and street furniture for over 180 years, will honour its local partners at a glittering awards ceremony to be held on November 3 at the France Pavilion at Expo 2020.

The event that will be held on the terrace of the France pavilion, will highlight the best and latest designs in architecture, lighting and engineering technology. UAE based partners, including distributors and customers, will be feted by the company on this occasion.

Frédéric Minck, Director of International Sales of GHM/ECLATEC will kick off this ceremony for his 100 exclusive guests in the presence of consular personalities and VIPs from the world of lighting design.

Highlighting the importance of the company’s participation at Expo 2020, Minck said: “Dubai serves as the perfect backdrop for us to showcase the latest in lighting technology.”
The France Pavilion is located in the Mobility District of Dubai Expo 2020 that started off on October 1, 2021 and will continue until March 31, 2022.

Light is the central theme around the French pavilion in line with the French government’s commitment towards showcasing innovation while focusing on building a model for energy and resource-efficient prosperity.

“The occasion is even more significant for us as GHM was already exhibiting monumental works even in the first editions of the World Expo that was held in the 19th century,” said Minck.

GHM has been designing and producing lighting solutions since 1840. From street lighting poles and tramway supports in cast iron and aluminium, to design and assembly, the company offers a coherent visual identity to the city thanks to its extensive range of urban furniture, including public benches, bollards, barriers, litter garbage cans, planters and fountains.

ECLATEC, GHM's sister company, is a lighting manufacturer that is distinguished by its dual expertise - mastery of photometry on the one hand, and a high level of activity in the development of reliable mechanical solutions on the other.

“We would now like to focus on how the company is moving forward in this dynamic age of modernity,” added Minck.

The event will feature highlights by lighting designer BOA Light studio, the firm behind the designing of the façade of the France pavilion – one that has been brought to life with rippling lights that reflect the architectural theme: “Lumière, Lumières”.

The award evening is being organized in partnership with local partners LuxBuro and WTBurden and Business France, the French trade commission in the UAE.
