ABU DHABI -- Mubadala Capital, the global asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi-based sovereign investor managing a $243 billion portfolio, today announced that Lee Wanie, CFA, has joined the company to lead distribution efforts on a global basis across its Private Equity, Public Equities, Venture Capital and its Brazil focused investment business.

Wanie has more than 20 years of investment management experience on global platforms.

Before joining Mubadala Capital, Wanie was Managing Director, Head of US Distribution & Consultant Relations at BMO Global Asset Management (“GAM”). Prior to joining BMO GAM in 2019, he was a Managing Director in BlackRock’s Institutional Client Business, responsible for both Canadian and Institutional middle market clients. Wanie began his institutional asset management career at Barclays Global Investors in 1999. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of California Berkeley and is a CFA charterholder.
