Riyadh: H.R.H. Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense announced a donation of SAR 10 million in support of charitable and non-profitable work through the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan).

The donation of H.R.H. the Crown Prince, Chairman of SDAIA’s Board of Directors, comes as an extension of his keenness to support the charitable work, develop the non-profit sector, and support Ehsan platform, which throughout its development, was of a particular interest to H.R.H. and under vigorous follow-up by him aiming to deliver quality service for this sector and achieve its objectives.   

H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, President of the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), praised the generous donation made by H.R.H. the Crown Prince, stating, “Today, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and H.R.H. the Crown Prince lead by example in supporting charitable and non-profit goals through Ehsan platform, which is the unified window for all forms of donations.”

H.E. Dr. Al-Ghamdi explained that Ehsan platform aims to enhance the values of philanthropy for community members through the integration with various government entities to maximize utility, as well as empowering the non-profit sector and expanding its impact, in addition to promoting corporate social responsibility in the private sector and contributing to raising the level of reliability and transparency of the charitable and development work.”

He added, “Ehsan platform is a digital, governed, secure, reliable and transparent system that collects and manages donations. It employs data to determine and assess the needs and direct donations accordingly. This capability enables the platform to help various non-profit entities to develop their financial resources and facilitate the donation process for donors and philanthropists through integration with other platforms, as well as informing them about the various donations available within the Kingdom through one easy-to-use electronic portal.”
