Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday on a negative performance, pressured by the drop of four sectors, on top of which the industrial sector.

By 10:10 am Qatar time, the general index shed 22.16 points, or 0.22%, to 9,864.04 points.

The bourse’s trading volume reached 1.38 million shares exchanged at a turnover of QAR 22.76 million through 552 transactions.

The industrial sector inched down 0.47% as Qatar Electricity and Water Company’s (QEWS) stock fell 1.25%, while the banks and financial services sector decreased by 0.16% after Al Khalij Commercial Bank’s (KCB) stock dropped 1.16%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose 2.11% after Ezdan Holding Group’s stock added 3.48%.

Ezdan Holding Group’s stock topped the bourse in terms of trading volume after 438,700 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of QAR 4.7 million.
