UAE – Mubasher: The Dubai Department of Economic Development’s Business Registration and Licensing (BRL) sector issued a total of 14,737 new licences during the first six months of 2019.

Around 52% of the new licences were commercial, while 45% were professional, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Saturday.

“[BRL’s], which seeks to reflect the economic ecosystem of Dubai by providing vital data on each licence category including their numbers and distribution on a monthly basis, saw 81 business licences being issued daily during the first half of the year,” WAM revealed.

As per BRL’s data, the number of trade name reservations recorded 22,456, while the number of initial approvals reached 17,798.
