Cairo –  Egypt is planning to launch a new export support programme by the beginning of fiscal year 2021/2022.

The export subsidy and support programme will be implemented over a three-year period in coordination between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said in a statement on Monday.

The objectives of the programme include enhancing local industry, developing Upper Egypt and border regions, and supporting projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), along with developing exports of small enterprises and increasing the country’s exports especially to African countries and new markets, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, said.
