Selected by a panel of experts, the winners are owners of various SMEs operating in different sectors in the Sultanate and included Dr. Matlooba Al Zadjali, founder of the International Specialized Center for Heart and Vascular Disease (HVC), Sharifa Al Noumani, owner of Bright Uranus for the supply of uniforms, Hafsa Al Naddabi, owner of Shams Al Madhfoora Trading (private school), Basma Al Shukaili, owner of Sanad Services Center, Jarnaz Sulaiman, owner of Cake Studio, Ahmed Al Maashani, owner of Moja International, Yasser Al Farsi, owner of Bright Sur AlAfiya for the sale of building materials, Salim Abdullah, owner of a store specializing in the sale of fresh and barbequed meat and fish, Rawiya Al Marhoon, owner of a wholesale business in perfume and beauty products and Zainab Al Naddabi, founder of a wedding supplies business.

“Tasweik is an initiative that helped various SMEs boost and transform their marketing efforts in order to reach their target audience. It is a unique platform that allows us to interact with entrepreneurs to cater to their needs and the challenges they face with their branding, which helped them achieve sustainable growth through implementing effective marketing strategies. With the support of Oman Oil Marketing Company, we are providing them with a valuable advantage with which to take their businesses to the next level,” said Tariq Al Farsi, Chief Executive Officer at Al Raffd Fund.

“To be running the Tasweik initiative for the fourth consecutive year is a great source of pride for Oman Oil Marketing Company and we are delighted to see how much of an impact the program has made,” said David Kalife, Chief Executive Officer at Oman Oil Marketing Company. “Innovation is our middle name, so supporting Oman’s talented entrepreneurs through Tasweik is a natural direction for us. It also helps us build stronger connections with local SMEs, and be more aligned with their needs and challenges.”

Tasweik was introduced in 2016 with the aim of providing financial and professional assistance to promising SMEs among Oman’s entrepreneur community, helping them to grow their businesses to their full potential. The initiative was developed as a key part of OOMCO’s commitment to care “beyond the pump” by engaging with the local community, and in line with Al Raffd Fund’s mission to promote the nation’s entrepreneurial advancement.

Oman Oil Marketing Company’s rigorous corporate social responsibility program includes various campaigns and projects focused on a strategy of promoting In-Country Value. More than simply granting financial assistance, the Tasweik initiative offers entrepreneurs a platform to reach new audiences, compete on a global level, and contribute to the Sultanate’s economy, while inspiring others to do the same.
