KUWAIT CITY: The Central Bank of Kuwait is currently working to establish electronic banking services system in foreign currencies to promote government operations in foreign currencies, reports Al-Anba daily.

The sources said the development project that the Central Bank is working on is 40 percent complete.

The sources added, due to the reduction in workforce following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic the signing of the contract was affected, and accordingly.

The sources stated the project aims to add some new features and requirements to the current e-government banking services system to enable government operations to be conducted in foreign currencies
