Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) has decided to temporarily close some of its hotels considering the ongoing situation related to the new coronavirus and its impact on the global hospitality industry.

ADNH said that the temporary closure of some of its hotels will be partial in some cases and fully in other cases, the Abu Dhabi-listed company said in a statement to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic earlier in March after the number of infections outside China increased dramatically over the span of two weeks.

Various nations around the world have closed their borders to stop the spread of the virus, as the number of cases worldwide jumped to over 300,000.

The UAE confirmed 13 new cases of coronavirus infections on Saturday, taking the total number of cases in the country to 153. The number of recoveries from the disease stood at 38.
