Speaking about the 2020 Al Mazyona savings scheme, Abdullah Tamman Al Mashani, DGM – Institutional Sales and Product Development, Bank Muscat, said that the bank was happy to launch the 2020 edition of Al Mazyona. He added that the bank is constantly innovating and adding to the programme in response to customer requirements. One of the major reasons for the success of the scheme is that Bank Muscat has been transparent in conducting prize draws throughout the year. Bank Muscat has lined up the largest number of high-value prizes in the country with 6,677 winners all set to be rewarded for their savings habit in 2020. Both the number of Al Mazyona prizes and the total prize money have been increased with the total number of winners in the 2020 scheme going up by around 50 per cent compared to the previous year.
The 2020 scheme will feature special draws including a mid-year draw and End of Year draw. Two special draws of OMR500,000 each, a special mid-year draw and an end of year draw, will be held for all customers maintaining a minimum balance of OMR30,000 in their Al Mazyona accounts. Special prizes have been reserved for Asalah and Al Jawhar customers as well as for regional, youth, women and salary transfer categories.Asalah and Al Jawhar customers to win big prizes
High savings Asalah Priority Banking customers maintaining a minimum balance of OMR30,000 are eligible for 10 monthly prizes of OMR25,000 each, 5 Mid-year and 5 End of Year prizes of OMR25,000 each as well as 3 Mid-year and 3 End of Year special prizes of OMR50,000 each.
Al Jawhar customers are eligible to win one of the 25 prizes of OMR5,000 each in the monthly draws as well as 5 Mid-year and 5 End of Year prizes of OMR15,000. They also have 3 Mid-year and 3 End of Year special prizes of OMR25,000 reserved for them. Al Jawhar customer need to maintain a minimum balance of OMR10,000 to be eligible for these mega draws.

Prizes for all
Customers who transfer their salaries to Al Mazyona accounts are eligible to be entered into the salary transfer draws. Fifteen winners will win OMR500 monthly for a year from among those who have salaries up to OMR1,000. Similarly, 15 winners will be chosen every month from among those whose salaries are above OMR1,000.
The regional monthly draws will see 420 winners win OMR500 each every month while the Zeinah monthly draw will see 15 lucky winners win OMR1,500 each every month. Customers need to maintain a minimum balance of OMR100 to be automatically entered into these monthly draws.
Meanwhile, Shababi monthly draw will see 50 youths winning OMR100 each every month. All Shababi account holders will automatically be entered into the draw as long as they have a minimum balance of OMR10. In the Children’s monthly draw, 50 monthly winners will take home OMR 100. All children maintaining a minimum balance of OMR 50 will be entered into the monthly draws.
Another 50 winners will win OMR 2,000 each at a special Zeinah draw on the occasion of the Omani Women’s Day in October while 50 youths will win OMR 500 each on the occasion of the Omani Youth Day.
The launch of the 2020 scheme was also accompanied by the monthly draw for Premier Banking customers. It saw 35 lucky winners take home high-value prizes ranging from OMR5,000 to OMR25,000. Ten lucky Asalah Priority Banking customers won prizes of OMR25,000 each while 25 lucky Al Jawhar customers won OMR 5,000 each at the draw which saw a total of OMR375,000 being handed out.
