ABU DHABI, Nov 24 (Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates is optimistic about a recovery of oil prices in 2016, a senior UAE energy official said on Tuesday.

"Oil prices are expected to recover in 2016," Matar al-Neyadi, undersecretary for the Ministry of Energy, said in a speech at a conference in Abu Dhabi.

"We are optimistic," Neyadi later told Reuters, without elaborating on the extent of any price recovery.
