MANAMA: The latest monthly issue of the Sukuk Al Salam Islamic securities has received subscription to the tune of 513 per cent, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced yesterday.
Subscriptions worth BD220.467 million were received for the BD43m issue, which carries a maturity of 91 days.
The expected interest rate on the issue, which begins tomorrow and matures on September 15, 2021, is 1.6pc.
The sukuk are issued by the CBB on behalf of the government.
This is issue No.242 (BH000OU48W78) of the short-term Sukuk Al Salam series.
