AngelHack Global Hackathon Series: at ATech Abu Dhabi

AngelHack is the world’s largest and most diverse global hacker community, helping to drive open innovation of tech products, platforms and brands with extraordinary smarts, scale and speed. AngelHack is organizing their 10th Global Hackathon Series (#AH10) in which contestants have to develop an application during 36 hours at ATech World. Winners will have the chance to receive an exclusive invite to HACKcelerator, a 12-week curriculum to turn their hackathon idea into a startup success story.

Christina Lila, Regional Manager, Middle East at AngelHack said: “We saw ATech World as a perfect partner to launch our 2017 UAE hackathon as they clearly align with the UAE's commitment to pioneering the future. They see the local excitement and dedication around both mastering current technology, but also the playfulness around wanting to experiment with it in a hands on way. As Einstein said, "play is the highest form of research" so they know bringing tomorrow's technology to the populace should be done in both an entertaining and engaging way.”

“For this hackathon we are hosting a challenge called "Code 4 Coexistence" where we ask developers to create technology solutions to build tolerance, increase empathy across borders and bounderies, or fight violent extremism at its root causes. We are just beginning to see the power of technology to shape culture and mindsets, and know this can be used in a hugely positive way in a world where conflict is rising to the surface. Young entrepreneurs and technologists tend to be more tolerant and optimistic than the average person, so we think they are the perfect group to usher in a movement of positive change.” She added

ATech World Conference & Exhibition and World Game Expo are scheduled to run until 11th of May 2017 at Hall 2, ADNEC.
