New Chief Healthcare Officer to contribute to growth and expansion of AXA Gulf's Healthcare division

Appointment to strengthen leadership team and support AXA's Ambition 2020

 

Dubai - AXA Gulf, a leading international insurer, announced the appointment of Laura Gerstein as Chief Healthcare Officer in a move to strengthen its leadership team. Laura will be responsible for AXA Gulf’s entire healthcare operations, developing the company’s market share in the health insurance sector for personal and corporate clients within the Gulf region.

Commenting on the new appointment, Cédric Charpentier, CEO of AXA Gulf stated, “At AXA Gulf, we understand our customers’ needs are rapidly evolving and continue to accelerate our transformation to better serve them at the level of their expectations. With Laura’s broad array of expertise, we are confident of her ability to drive the company’s regional healthcare operations to the next level.”

Previously, Laura held the position of Head of Operations for Middle East and Africa at MetLife. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Laura began her career in 1993 as a Senior Actuarial Analyst and was instrumental in a number of strategic transformations.

Laura holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, where she majored in Finance and General Management and also has a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science.
