TUNIS - An old man and three girls died as a result of flooding from torrential rains in Nabeul Governorate, northeast Tunisia, on Saturday.

The civil defense corps recovered the body of the man in Takelsa district, said spokesman of the civil defense corps Moez Tari'a tonight.

"The two girls, aged 20 and 25, went missing earlier this evening and their bodies were found in Bou Argoub district.

"The floods led also to heavy material damage and paralyzed traffic across Nabeul," he told the state-run TV channel.

The local authorities warned the citizens in Nabeul and nearby governorates, particularly those living in low valleys, against bad weather in the coming days. (end) ksj.gb
